Chief Constable asks the public to help her appoint a new ACC

November 12, 2015

RESIDENTS of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent will have the opportunity to give feedback on the two candidates for the role of Assistant Chief Constable as part of the rigorous recruitment process.

A small number of residents will have the opportunity to come to police HQ later this month to have a 45 minute session with each candidate and give their feedback on how they do.

Chief Constable Jane Sawyers said: “This is a vital role and I am keen to get the communities we serve involved in the recruitment process. I’m sure the candidates will find the evening a challenging but interesting experience and I think it’s vital they hear from the communities they want to serve and for representatives of our communities to give me their insights about each candidate.”

The role of Assistant Chief Constable is to directly assist the Chief Constable in delivering an efficient and effective policing service for the people of Staffordshire.

The event will take place on Tuesday 17th November 2015, between 6.45pm and 9:00pm
