ON Saturday 21 September, enter the mesmerising world of Charlie James Tennant, pianist and synth player, joined with a blissful string quartet and special guest Rory Cannon for a night of enchanting cinematic soundscapes.
The show will take the audience on a journey through the music that soundtracks emotions and life. Inspired by the works of Brian Eno, Max Richter and M83, Tennant’s music has been coined as “emotional, passionate, sensitive and beautiful” by veteran music reviewer, Simon Redley of Music Republic Magazine.
To celebrate the announcement of the live concert, Tamworth Informed have two pairs of tickets to give away! All you have to do is complete this form. Entries close on 28 February 2019 at 12.00pm (mid-day) and winners will be picked at random after this.
The act’s sophomore album, ‘a hyper-extended funeral of everybody’s hopes and dreams’, will be released in March 2019 and demonstrates a progression in Tennant’s experimental approach to cinematic music.
Below you can see Charlie in concert at Polesworth Abbey last year.
Tennant says, “I learnt a lot from my first album, and the show. Taking pieces from studio to live performance was a huge learning curve for me – I’ve spent the last two years really honing in on this genre, planning the intricacies of each new piece, and making sure they work as good live as they do on the album. Some of these new pieces have continued to develop since release, so I’m really excited to perform them live, coupled with some rewritten songs from my debut album, for a truly encapsulating night, in such a beautiful venue.”
Charlie James Tennant and special guest, Rory Cannon, will perform on Saturday 21st September 2019 at The Coton Centre, Tamworth.
Tickets are available for £5.00 and can be purchased online Here
