DETECTIVES from Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after two cars were stolen in Tamworth.
A lone woman was approached by three men wearing balaclavas or face masks and dragged from her white VW Golf before they left in it on Sunday (25 November). The incident took place between 2pm and 2.15pm, at Ventura Retail Park.
On Thursday 22 November, offenders approached a woman between 5pm and 5.20pm at Galena. The woman was assaulted and offenders made off in her black VW Golf.
Officers are particularly interested in a second black VW Golf which is believed to have been near both of the incidents and anyone who may have seen it is asked to get in touch.
A number of offenders also attempted to steal an Audi S3 near to Frankie & Benny’s at around 1.50pm on Tuesday 20 November.
During the incident, a woman was pulled to the ground. Luckily, the offenders were left empty handed and detectives are interested in a red and black Mini which was seen nearby.
Detective Inspector Giles Parsons said: “We take this crime very seriously and we are increasing patrols in the area. We have a dedicated team who are working around the clock to make sure offenders are brought to justice.
“We would ask that vehicle owners remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to the police.
“Anyone who witnessed these incidents or anyone who has any information is asked to call 101.”
