TAMWORTH Castle is throwing down the gauntlet to anyone who is enthusiastic about computer games and likes to test their problem-solving skills.
Castle Quest – aimed at families with older children – will run throughout the day from Monday February 20 to Sunday February 26, from 11.30am to 4pm.
Questers will encounter a series of characters or clues, which they will need to solve in order to receive a unique word. The unique words will be recorded by the quester and used to complete the final task.
At the end of the Quest, participants will have to take the ultimate challenge – to walk the Quest grid blindfolded, testing the success of their problem-solving skills. If they succeed, then they will receive a reward.
Cllr Joy Goodall, Cabinet member for Environment & Culture, said: “The Castle Quest is an exciting event which we hope will bring new visitors to Tamworth Castle. I hope a lot of people will come along to take part.”
No pre-booking is necessary for the Castle Quest event. Admission prices to Tamworth Castle are: Adults £7.50, OAP £6.50, Child (over 5) £5, Child (2-4 years) £3, Under 2 years free.
