Businesses urged to use FREE Brexit business support

Local businesses can now receive free Brexit advice and support, from a Tamworth Borough Council Growth Advisor, based at the Tamworth Enterprise Centre (TEC).

Growth Advisor, Louise Stolz, is offering help to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the area by understanding their business needs through the Brexit uncertainty, and being a point of call for any immediate concerns or issues around the impact of Brexit.

As a Growth Advisor, Louise has access to a range of services, initiatives and signposting to organisations that can help businesses tackle a variety of barriers to growth they may be experiencing.

Tamworth Borough Council’s Economic Development and Regeneration Team, based at the TEC in Corporation Street, offer ongoing advice and support for local businesses through a wide range of additional resources including, access to a range of funding opportunities, training and workshops and business mentoring programmes.

Cllr Jeremy Oates, Tamworth Borough Council’s Cabinet member for Heritage and Growth, said: “Our Growth Advisors provide a free support and information service for businesses in the area. We know that Brexit is top of the agenda for many local firms at the moment, which is why we are currently offering this FREE dedicated support on this issue.

“We want to support local businesses not only be ready for when we leave the EU but also be in a prime position to take full advantage of any opportunities.

“Louise is available to talk through your Brexit concerns and the impacts on your business, offering an impartial look at things from another perspective.

“We would encourage as many businesses as possible to take advantage of this free service and get an appointment booked.”
