TAMWORTH as an area, has one of the Breast Screening Services lowest uptake rates for routine mammograms, so Tamworth Informed want to encourage a greater uptake.
Sadly, 1 in 8 ladies will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer and so it is extremely important that women get themselves checked out.
The main point of breast screening is early diagnosis, as this is what saves lives and changes outcomes for the ladies.
During May, June and July the Breast Screening Service will be inviting ladies from the Hollies Medical Practice for their routine screening mammograms.
Unfortunately the screening service has no money in the pot to pay for adversing so they have contacted Tamworth Informed to see if we can spread the word. Of course, we are more than happy to help share the word on this vital service.
South Staffordshire Breast screening Service will be inviting all ladies ages between 50-70 years old from The Hollies Practice, Upper Gungate, Tamworth. Ladies will be automatically sent out an invitation to attend the Breast screening unit at Sir Robert Peel Hospital, Mile Oak, Tamworth.
