Tamworth pensioner now missing for two weeks

Saturday, 1st May 2021

IT has now been two weeks since 79-year-old Bill (William) Lee was reported missing from his home in Wilnecote and at this time, there have been no sightings.

In the latest update from Staffordshire Police, Inspector Gary Harborow from Tamworth Neighbourhood Policing Team has said that they will keep looking for Bill and with the support of the community, he remains hopeful they will find him.

In the video, Insp Harborow ask residents to check their outhouses, sheds and garages but ask that if anyone searches open land, they stick to the roads and footpaths.

Bill is described as a white male, 5ft 6” tall, with a slim build and white hair. He was initially believed to be wearing a light-coloured jacket, a beige jumper and trousers. New CCTV however, reveals that Bill may have been wearing a darker coat than initially thought.

Bill’s car, a black Ford Fiesta (registration NV54 AON) was found near to stables on Slade Lane in Dosthill on Saturday morning. His dog Daisy, a short-haired Yorkshire terrier, was found safe on a pathway between Slade Lane towards Cliff Lake on Sunday 18th April.

It is now believed that Bill may have walked back towards his home address of Quarry Hill and so police are focussing their efforts on the rural area between these two locations.
