‘Be Tamworth’ Photography Competition

Sunday, 25th January 2015

TAMWORTH is a beautiful place full of amazing things and delightful scenery and so to celebrate this the Mayor wants to see how the people of Tamworth view our town through the art of photography.

Everyone is a budding photographer these days either with a top of the range digital SLR or with the cracking quality photographs that smart phones can take. A quick look around Facebook and Twitter will show just how keen people are to capture the world around them. So the Mayor thought let’s celebrate Tamworth by encouraging people to send in their best photographs of Tamworth and the surrounding area.

As well as displaying the photographs on the Mayor’s Facebook page and holding a special exhibition of the very best in the Town Hall he will even throw in a prize for the winning pic.

Tamworth people can either email in their photographs, post them to the Mayor on CD or memory stick or pop a print out in the post. The only rules are that the photographs have to have a Tamworth theme and be taken by the person submitting the entry (this is for copyright purposes).

Residents can enter as many photographs as they like – in fact the more the better.

To submit a photo either email them to richard-kingstone@tamworth.gov.uk or post them to The Mayor of Tamworth, Marmion House, Lichfield Street, Tamworth B79 7BZ.

The dealine for all entries is 28th February 2015.
