A PREMIUM takeaway which opened its doors in Tamworth this weekend is definitely one to watch - and of course sample!
The Balearic Eye opened the doors on its new Tamworth takeaway this Saturday (17 October). Initially, due to COVID, they will be offering contactless home delivery and collections until 11 pm, 7-days a week.
The Balearic Eye offers a premium takeaway experience unlike any other. Offering gourmet hand-formed burgers. Philli cheesesteaks, loaded fries and their hand-coated Shoom 87 chicken strips.
There really is nothing else like this in Tamworth - and looking at the reviews for their Swadlincote branch, people are raving about their delights!
Now THAT is a burger!
Richard Sewell, one of the owners of the brand told Tamworth Informed:
“Expanding from our hugely successful outlet in Swadlincote we have been fortunate to partner with a local property investment company and move quickly into Tamworth.
“Based around the Acid house scene our burgers have some pretty unique names such as the Mr Fingers Maple Syrup Burger or the Chicago 303 Deli Burger and the theme carries itself through everything we do. We are truly Naughty Naughty very Naughty.”
Loaded fries anyone?
We asked Richard why they chose Tamworth as the location for their second venue and he said:
“We just saw Tamworth as a logical step when you look at the other cool shops on Lichfield Street. The Coffee Shop, Desert place etc. Plus Tamworth has a much more city feel to it than Swadlincote.”
They are open from 4 pm until 11 pm 7 days a week and ordering is available via their website www.baleariceye.co.uk. Collections are also available from 103 Lichfield Street, however, due to covid restrictions, it will be a kerbside collection if you wish to collect.
