STAFFORDSHIRE police are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary at a home in Drayton Bassett this morning
The suspects knocked at the victims door in Moat Drive at around 10am today, Tuesday 3 March, before forcing their way in and stealing cash.
Due to the information received, that the suspects were armed with handguns and knives, armed response officers were sent to the scene.
It was reported the suspects made off on foot across fields. They’re described as three men wearing balaclavas and hoods. One of the men wore a yellow jacket similar to those worn by delivery drivers.
Officers carried out an extensive search of the surrounding area, with assistance from the Air Support Unit and Dog Support Unit but no one was located.
The victim suffered minor injuries and is understandably shaken by the incident.
Detectives have begun an investigation into the incident, which will include speaking to possible witnesses, and carrying out house to house and CCTV inquiries. A forensic examination will also take place at the home.
