Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on River Drive yesterday (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called to the A51 River Drive at around 4.55pm after receiving a report of a collision involving a single motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man from the Tamworth area, sustained serious leg injuries and was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. His condition is described as stable.

The road remained closed for several hours whilst officers from the Collision Investigation Unit carried out inquiries at the scene.
Police say they would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding whilst this work was carried out and the road was closed.
Witnesses are asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 530 of September 16.
