POLICE in the West Midlands are working with Birmingham and Solihull Coroner’s Office to try and identify a man whose body was found in Stechford in December last year.
The man was found in the river near Wyndhurst Road in Birmingham at around 2.20 pm on Tuesday 17 December.
Sadly, despite a post-mortem examination and thorough investigations by both the police and the Coroner’s office, the man’s identity is still not known.
An image of the clothing the man was wearing at the time has now been released in the hope it brings new information.
Although his death is not being treated as suspicious, anyone with information on how the man came to be found in the water or who he is should call us so the man’s family can be informed of his tragic death.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8 am and midnight or call 101 anytime, quoting log 1245 of 16 December 2019.
