Anthony John Salons supports St Giles solstice walk with pre-event treat

June 6, 2018

LICHFIELD hair salon, Anthony John Salons, will be supporting the St Giles Solstice Walk 2018 by styling entrants’ hair before the event to raise extra money for the Whittington charity.

For the third year running, the team from the Heart of the Country based salon will be offering a little pre-walk treat with hair chalking (temporary colour using chalk) and by creating walk-ready ‘hair ups’ at the Sunset Party held at Friary Grange, ahead of the main event.

Those taking up the offer will be asked for a small donation and all money will go to St Giles Hospice.  The Swinfen-based salon team, who have just been voted one of the best in the UK, will also be answering any questions on hair, doing consultations and giving out hair advice whilst at the event.

Zoe Westwood, Event Fundraising Manager said: “Having Anthony John Salons at the Solstice Walk has been a great addition to the Solstice Sunset party as the ladies’ love being pampered before they take on the walk. Tony and his team have supported the Solstice walk for the last three years and St Giles Hospice really appreciates their support in helping to transform the hair of the fairies.”

Salon founder and owner Tony Walmsley said: “The Solstice Walk is a fantastic event and it’s a privilege to support it. The team enjoy the amazing atmosphere the walk generates, and we hope our work contributes to this major fund raiser for St Giles Hospice.”
