TAMWORTH football fans should be celebrating this evening as today’s win at The Lamb means Tamworth FC have now won 7 games out of 7!
Tamworth FC took on Worcester City FC this afternoon at The Lamb where they won the game 1-0, making it seven league wins on the trot for Tamworth.
Tamworth went up 1-0 in 71 minutes when a freekick from Daniels freekick was finished from close range, just a yard or so out by Paul Green.
Scoring 21 points from the last seven games means that Tamworth have moved up 4 positions to 6th in the Vanarama Conference North, leaving them just one position and one point from the promotion playoff zone.
810 fans went through the gate at The Lamb for the game which is the highest gate for a Tamworth league game, either home or away since the start of September and the second highest for the season. This shows that locals are once again getting behind their local team and supporting grass roots football which is fantastic to see.

Tamworth’s next home game is against Solihull Moors on New Years day where there is again a 3pm kick off. Solihull Moors were defeated 2-0 by Tamworth on Boxing Day and currently sit just one position below them, meaning a win will put them above Solihull Moors in the league.
Lets show our support, get behind the team and make it eight wins out of eight. Come on you Lambs!
