15-year-old attacked for bike and cash

POLICE n Tamworth are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old was attacked close to Morrisons in Belgrave, Tamworth.

At approximately 1am this morning, Saturday 29 July,  a 15-year-old male was punched to the face and pushed to the floor by three unknown offenders who stole his bike and £2 from his pocket.

The incident happened close to the Morrisons Supermarket on Hilmore Way / Marlborough Way.

Nearby witnesses assisted the male and managed to retrieve the bike and return it to the boy.

Unfortunately, these good Samaritans did not leave their details and left the scene before they could be spoken to but the police. If this was you, please come forward.

If anyone witnessed this incident or knows who the kind people who retrieved the bike may be please contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 0089 of 29/07/17.  They may hold vital information as to the identity of the offenders.
