A TOTAL of 13 people have been arrested as part of a crackdown on crime in Nuneaton.
Under Operation Offa officers will continue to address residents’ concerns within the Manor and Abbey areas of Nuneaton.
The team are working in conjunction with partner agencies, including Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, to tackle incidents of anti-social behaviour, drug use/supply, handling stolen goods, theft, vehicle crime and burglary.
The group of officers, which was established at the beginning of December, will actively target individuals and addresses that are highlighted by the community and are causing the most concern.
A total of 13 people have been arrested so far for a number of offences including burglary, vehicle crime, theft and drug offences.
Detective Sergeant Chris Cook said: “A combination of police tactics and partnership working is being utilised to tackle crime and disrupt individuals and criminality.
“We are committed to improving the quality of life for the residents of Manor and Abbey in the central area of Nuneaton.
“We will act on information and intelligence from members of the public and would encourage residents to report any issues to police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
