Thieves steal electric bike from Amington garden

Stolen Carerra Vulcan electric bike

A FAMILY in Amington have spoken of their disgust after an electric bike was stolen from their garden overnight.

The bike was locked and underneath a weather proof cover in their Trefoil garden as thieves targeted between 1030pm last night and 730am this morning, Saturday 12 August.

Purchased only four weeks ago, the bike is a carrera Vulcan electric mountain bike which is worth around £1000 and is grey, orange and black in colour.  It is distinctive due to the power pack on the frame.

The victim has been extremely poorly recently and has recently gone back to work.  Due to him no longer been able to walk there and back, he bought himself an electric bike.

Carly Chapman the step-daugher of the victim has told Tamworth Informed:

“My step dad hasn’t been very well recently and nearly died, he has recently gone back to work and but due to him no longer been able to walk there and back, he brought him self an electric bike.  Some scum bag stole out my mom’s garden in Amington last night. Hopefully we can get his bike back so he can go to work.”

Anyone with information in relation to the theft is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting crime number FZ/63097/2017.
