LOOKING for a family afternoon of community fun and entertainment? Come along to Amington Fete this Saturday 17th taking place between 12pm-4pm at Landau Forte Academy.
The popular annual event is supported by Tamworth Borough Council’s Community Development and Community Safety teams and boasts a wide range of activities guaranteed to entertain all ages.
The fete, organised by Amington fete committee, will be hosted at Landau Forte Academy on Woodland Road, Amington, with a full programme of activities starting from 12pm. These will include a bouncy castle, bungee run and surfboard simulator.
ln the arena, the entertainment kicks off with music from DJ Barry John, followed by a performance from students at Landau Forte, as well as Morris Dancing , a martial arts display and streetdance from NRG.
As usual there will be lots of stalls, refreshments, many supporting charities and local agencies on hand to offer advice and support.
To top it all, if you buy a programme you will be entered into the Grand Prize Draw. Fabulous prizes including cinema tickets, tobogganing, meal’s for two people, a game of bowling and many more are up for grabs.
Tamworth Borough Council’s Cabinet member for Communities and Wellbeing, Cllr Stephen Doyle, said: “Our Community Development and Community Safety teams always support this community-based event. It is an excellent opportunity for the local people to come together and enjoy a family fun afternoon. It is great to see so many local charities, agencies and businesses joining together to make this day a big success.”
