Burglars smash way in to family home

POLICE in Warwickshire are investigating after burglars smashed their way in to a family home in Polesworth, just before 11pm on Tuesday 10 October.

Offenders climbed over a roof to access the rear of a home in Chaytor Road, Polesworth and then smashed open the rear door.Burglary at home in Chaytor Road, Polesworth

The noise woke the residents of the house who investigated, and the offenders quickly made off.

One resident gave chase and saw two offenders run up the road and jump into a vehicle, which contained a waiting driver, and make off towards the A5.

Fortunately, full access to the home was not gained and nothing was stolen.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 446 of 10 October.
