DETECTIVES investigating a hit and run in September involving a woman and her new born baby have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to.
Andrew Rose, aged 32, is believed to have left the scene on foot leaving behind a blue Mazda MPS Aero Sports car that had hit the 28-year-old and her four-day-old old baby on the A34 Walsall Road, Great Barr at 6pm on the 23 September.
Andrew is known to frequent Aston and Walsall. He is described as being around 6’8″ ins, heavily built black man with brown eyes, a black beard and moustache.
Anyone who spots Andrew or know of his whereabouts should not approach him, but should contact police urgently on 999.
Both mother and baby have since been discharged from hospital and are continuing to recover at home.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We urgently need to speak to this man and I would like to appeal to him directly to hand himself into police.
“We have trawled CCTV in the area and visited a number of addresses known to Andrew in our search for him.
“If anyone has any information about where Andrew may be, or saw what happened in the area at the time, please contact us as soon as possible.”
